                Bugsy is a 6 year old gelding..  He is very broke and has been ridden for 4 years, in the arena, sale barn, and several ranches, mountains and trail rides. He is not spooky, clips, rides bare back, hauls. He has lots of personality!  He has worked cattle and seems to really like it, I just do not have the opportunity rope very much.  The cowboys that have ridden him say he will make a great roping horse.  He works off your legs and is easy to ride, I would let anyone ride him, he is that gentle and broke.  You can let him sit for several months and than saddle and he will ride like he has had no time off.  He is very smart and fun to be around.  We have owed him since he was a baby, has had his teeth done every year along with shots, he has black feet and does not need shoes at this time. Easy to trim and handle for the farrier.   I would trust this horse with any level of rider he is that broke and gentle. This is a great horse going to waste here because he does not want to be a barrel horse, we need to find him a different job. He works great on the barrels at a slow speed so would be great for a young child just learning and wanting to grow up with a horse.  He wants to please all the time plus he is great looking he would be a super great 4-H project!     double click to see a copy of his papers

Magnum will be a two year old next May and will be ready to start riding.  He is out of a known daughter (Magnolias Open House) of Magnolia Bar which goes back to Three Bars on the top side and bottom side.  This colt has been handled, hauled, clipped, hot walker broke he wants to do everything you ask him to. This gelding would qualify to participate in the "APHA Gelding Plus program", offering cash incentives qualifying geldings.  I think that he will have great promise in any equine discipline you choose to do.  His mother had lots of speed and was trained by Lynn McKenzie to run barrels and did well until she got hurt. 

       

Asking $2,500 Grandson of Magnolia Bar  Magnum, has not grown as fast I would like and therefore I am going to drop the asking price to $1,000.  He is still going to be a really nice horse but because he has not grown he is small for a two year old and I need to decrease the herd I am feeding.

Axl is an 8 year old gelding that is really broke to ride. He was started in the feed yard by Rachel Smith and I purchased him in 2006. I started running barrels on him in December of 2008 and won the yearend 2D in the SBRA here in SW Kansas in 2009. He has also been roped on and started on the poles and flags. He will make an excellent Jr. Rodeo, Little Britches, or a seasoned rider horse. He is very consistent and wants to please. He has been hauled to bigger shows in Colorado, Nebraska, Texas, and Kansas. We have lost our pasture and I need to move some horses. Thanks for looking. This mare’s name says it all she is very fast and easy to ride.  Anyone can ride this horse from a beginner to someone that wants to haul down the road and win.  She does her job running barrels with ease.  She is 12 year old mare, hauled in all levels of competition.  She placed 9^th at the Mile Hi Slot Race against the best of the best.  During this race she was clocked as having the fastest run out in a race of 275 runners.   I have only been riding her since June and we have picked up lots of checks at the local races and big shows in Colorado.  I have not found the top gear on this mare yet.  She has Rare Jet and Fols Native on the top side, Streakin Six on the bottom side.  She also runs poles and other gymkhana events.  You will be amazed at how easy this mare is to ride when running barrels.

Gale's Lucky Dash, affectionately know as Alf, is pushing 16 hands and weighs approx. 1300.  Although he is big, as those of you have seen, he can turn on a dime and is extremely agile.  He is only 11 years old and has not been over used or abused.  Alf is sound, up to date on all vaccinations but may need to have his teeth floated in the next year.  He stands great for everything, clipping, shoeing, shots and saddling.
He has awesome speed and lots of heart.  Is currently barefooted but does requires shoes for competition because he turns so hard. 
He was broke right and is very soft mouthed and supple. Works off of your legs and responds quickly to your hands.
Tessa James has been his rider for the past year and did very well. She qualified for the National Little Britches finals on Alf and ran a 17.505 at the Rocky Mountain Super Race over Labor Day weekend on a standard pattern.  He has run both indoors and outdoor.  He runs to the left or to the right barrel first.
I have done other events, poles, flag race, stake race on Alf but only at the smaller gymkhanas. 
Alf is definitely not a horse for inexperienced riders, as he is a very hard running quick turning horse.
