Wow
what a weekend! We had a great barrel racing clinic and what a church
service on Sunday.
It started out a little chili Saturday morning, but being the cowgirls that they
are they were ready to ride. We had six students, a small group that
allowed for much one on one teaching and time in the saddle.
We ran the 1st jackpot with Tanner Time Saturday morning with the following results: 1st Jessica Larson 18.648, 2nd Pam Youngren 21.059
Jessica Larson & KC
Pam Youngren & Macaroni
2nd Jackpot results with Tanner Time Saturday Night with the following results: 1st Jessica Larson 19.137 2nd Bailee Kaufman 19.166
Bailee Kaufman
Jayde Youngren
Sky Bogner
Monica Halde
The final jackpot was ran on Sunday afternoon after a lot of hard work and
training on the barrel pattern for two days. When the dust cleared Jessica
and Bailee made the last run count. Bailee ended up the winner of the
jackpot with a 19.112, and winning the clinic trophy buckle, and Jessica second
with a 19.386 and Pam 3rd with a 19.386.
Times are always slower on Sunday because the riders are tired and the horses
are really wore out.
The most improved award was so tuff because everyone improved. The Most Improved award was split between Jayde Ashida and Pam Youngren, both over came huge issues with their horses that weekend, gaining them the most improved award.
Monica and Sky started out trotting the pattern on their 1st runs and running on the final jackpot. Proving that the Tanner Time and Lynn McKenzie's perfect pattern is a great way to start young horses out on. to get fast improvement. Look out this season for these two riders on their young horses.
Thank you Lynn McKenzie for having the first clinic here at the Tanner Time
